Fixed and floating steel digester covers and gasholders of the truss style, dual-deck design
The premier digester cover solution, Evoqua's Duo-Deck offerings are the tried and true method of anaerobic digester containtement. Offered in fixed, floating and gasholder style covers, a solution is available for all plant's digestion needs. The dual deck construction results in an insulated attic space, structural members protected from the envirnement and an overall robust structural integrity.
Truss style digester covers consist of radial truss sturctures connected to a center gas dome and perhipheral rim skirt. Steel plate is welded both above and below the truss strucure, fully enclosing and protecting the strucutre from the digester and ambient atmospheres. Steel plates are not considered in the strucutral design, creating a cover that is structurally robust for decades of use.
Fixed covers are anchored to the digester tank wall, wheras floating covers and gasholders are allowed to move within the tank based upon sludge and gas levels. Floating covers and gas holders utilize roller and guide tracks in either vertically guided or spirally guided configurations. The sprical guided configuration is the most stable steel gasholder design and should be consided for large systems or high wind loading on exposes portions of the cover when being supported on biogas.
