The DI-SDI Alert is a leak detector and alarm designed to sense deionized water leaks, initiate an alarm and activate a shut-off Valve assembly (not provided). The device consists of a disk-shaped sensor that rests on the floor near the SDI tank and a receptacle mounted alarm module with an internal alarm, an external LED indicator and a 120 VAC grounded power outlet.

In normal operation, the sensor detects no leak and the green LED on the alarm module remains illuminated and the 120 VAC grounded outlet remains powered. The alarm condition is initiated when the sensor detects water leakage. The red LED will be illuminated and the grounded outlet will be de-energized, thus initiating the feed water shut-off device. The DI-SDI Alert can be reset by simply shutting off the power to or unplugging the alarm module.
